Cafe Aster at Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay
The project is located within Gardens by the Bay, Singapore, within a high-traffic public attraction environment characterized by strong landscape integration and continuous visitor circulation.
The site operates within a controlled botanical and tourism infrastructure, where F&B functions must be integrated into a landscaped public realm with high pedestrian volume, environmental exposure, and constant visitor movement.
The design adopts a landscape-responsive F&B strategy, positioning the café as a spatial extension of its surrounding garden environment. The intervention focuses on maintaining visual and spatial continuity between interior dining areas and the external horticultural setting.
The layout is organized to respond to visitor flow patterns, optimize seating turnover, and support clear operational zoning within a compact commercial footprint.
The café integrates a hybrid programme combining dining and floral retail functions. Spatial planning is structured to manage queue circulation, seating distribution, and service efficiency under high visitor demand conditions.
Material and spatial treatments are selected to reinforce visual alignment with the surrounding botanical landscape, while maintaining durability and operational practicality for commercial F&B use.
The project establishes a café environment that is directly responsive to its landscape context and visitor intensity. The intervention balances commercial performance with spatial clarity, creating a coherent interface between built F&B space and the surrounding garden environment.
